1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser and sent back to a website when needed. Similar browser features, such as session storage, can temporarily keep information in your browser without sending it to every page request.
2. Essential session cookies
LERRA's secure Candidate, Employer and Internal workspaces use an essential authentication session cookie. It allows the platform to recognise an authorised signed-in session, protect account access and route the user to permitted workspace functionality.
This cookie is necessary for secure account functionality. Blocking it will prevent normal use of authenticated areas of the platform.
3. Temporary form storage
Some platform forms may use browser session storage to preserve entered information temporarily during the current browser session, for example when a form needs to recover from a validation or navigation interruption. Session storage is normally cleared when the relevant browser session ends or the application removes the saved value.
4. Analytics and advertising
The current LERRA implementation does not rely on an advertising-cookie programme. If LERRA later introduces analytics, marketing or other non-essential cookies, this notice and the website's consent controls will be reviewed before those technologies are enabled where consent is required.
5. Browser controls
You can use your browser settings to delete or block cookies and site data. Be aware that disabling essential storage may stop sign-in, security and form functionality from working correctly.
6. More information
For more information about how LERRA handles personal information, see the Privacy & POPIA Notice. Questions can also be sent through the Contact page.
