1. About these terms

These terms govern use of LERRA's public website and secure platform. By using the website or creating or using an authorised account, you agree to use the services lawfully and in accordance with these terms. Separate commercial or service agreements may apply to employer clients and, where they conflict with these general website terms, the specific written agreement will govern the relevant service.

2. LERRA's services

LERRA provides recruitment and related people-services support, including specialist recruitment, employment relations, employment equity and workforce advisory. Website information describes LERRA's services generally and does not by itself create a guarantee, appointment, employment relationship or contractual commitment.

3. Accounts and authorised workspaces

Secure workspaces are available only to authorised users. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping credentials confidential and notifying LERRA if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not share an account with someone who is not authorised to use it.

LERRA may restrict, suspend or revoke access where an account is inactive, compromised, used improperly, no longer required for the relevant relationship, or where continued access would create a security or legal risk.

4. Candidate responsibilities

Candidates must provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge and must not intentionally submit false qualifications, employment history, identity information or other misleading recruitment information. Candidates remain responsible for reviewing opportunities and deciding whether to apply, interview or accept an offer.

5. Employer and client responsibilities

Employers and client contacts must use candidate and recruitment information only for legitimate recruitment and employment purposes and must protect confidential candidate information from unauthorised access or disclosure. Vacancy requirements and feedback supplied to LERRA should be lawful, accurate and job-related.

6. Recruitment outcomes

LERRA supports recruitment decisions and workflows but does not guarantee that a vacancy will be filled, that a candidate will receive an interview or offer, or that an employment relationship will continue for any particular period. Hiring and employment decisions remain subject to the relevant parties, agreements and applicable law.

7. Uploaded content and documents

You must have the right to upload or provide any document or information submitted to LERRA. You retain ownership of your underlying content, but you permit LERRA to store, process, reproduce and share it to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service and operate the platform.

8. Acceptable use

You may not attempt to bypass access controls, probe or disrupt platform security, scrape restricted information, upload malicious content, impersonate another person, use information for unlawful discrimination or harassment, or use LERRA's systems for a purpose unrelated to the service for which access was granted.

9. Intellectual property

The LERRA name, branding, website design, software, original platform content and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These terms do not transfer ownership of LERRA's intellectual property to users.

10. Availability and changes

LERRA aims to operate the website and platform reliably but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, provider incidents, security events or circumstances outside LERRA's reasonable control may temporarily affect access. Features, workflows and public content may change as the service develops.

11. Third-party services

The platform may rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers such as hosting, email and storage providers. Their availability and technical behaviour may affect parts of the service. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not make LERRA responsible for those sites or their content.

12. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy & POPIA Notice. By using the service, you acknowledge that information must be processed to operate accounts, recruitment workflows and related services.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, LERRA is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from use of the public website or from circumstances outside LERRA's reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits rights that applicable law does not allow LERRA to limit.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled subject to applicable South African law and any specific written agreement governing the relevant service.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms can be submitted through the Contact page.
